(3-1); Defeated Jared Green in the first tournament stop in St. Paul, Minn. (4-0) and won the tournament; Defeated Nelson Tsosie in Philadelphia, Pa. (3-1) and won the tournament; Defeated Jared Green in Greensboro, N.C. (3-1); Defeated Clovis Crane in Glendale, Ariz. (3-1); Defeated Danny Ward in Raleigh, N.C. (4-0); Defeated Logan Hodson in Kansas City and was the event winner in Kansas City; currently first in the standings.

5-9, 160…Wife, Callie (married Dec. 2009); daughter, Tula Marie (born Feb. 14, 2010)…Hobbies include building houses, hunting and fishing...Got involved in rodeo through his family. He is a fourth generation cowboy. His grandfather used to ride bulls with a bronc saddle. Bandy didn’t get into rodeo right away but instead tried his hand in the cutting industry. However, he soon switched to rodeo where he competed in seven different events…Father, Robert, is a rancher and mother, Amidelle Lawson works for a newspaper. Oldest brother is Lee (30) and he is a lawyer in Kingsville, Texas. His sister, Melissa is a chemical engineer. His stepmom is Staci and stepdad is Wayne. Has a half-brother and a stepsister: Will (11 and wants to be a pilot) and Hali (is a barrel racer)…Graduated from Charlotte High School where he competed in football and wrestling…Favorite food is mom’s spaghetti or biscuits, favorite book is Old Dan and Little Anne, favorite television show is the Simpsons, favorite movie is Lonesome Dove and All the Pretty Horses, favorite sport other than rodeo is wrestling, favorite sports team is the Florida Gators and favorite music is country and most of the Don William songs…Regular workout routine consists of lifting weights, running and riding horses…Speaks a little Spanish…After rodeo he wants to build houses for a living…Rodeo heroes are all the greats, his dad, Larry Mahan and Ty Murray...Other heroes are all those fighting for our freedom overseas.
